This work was inspired by an artist i have great admiration for, Philip Gray. His work is often displayed in a gallery close to where i live so i make a point to pop in regularly to see his work. His use of a palette knife again the smooth surface of the cloud and mist is a technique i translated into my own piece. The difference between the two paintings being where he uses mountains i've subtly given the suggestion of long crumbled buildings, with windows dotted here and there.
